What it is for
A tuck-end box is glued along one seam on the automatic line and ships flat — the most economical folding carton format. The 125×80×55 mm format (550 ml) is used by confectioneries and bakeries, cosmetics and tea producers, pharma and food packaging (with certified board), online stores and accessory makers. Offset printing; finishing — lamination, spot varnish, foil stamping, film window.
The die for this box was made in 2022 and has run 8,000 pieces, and the page gallery holds seven photographs of the finished batch, showing how print and finishing sit on the real product. The 125×80×55 mm format is taller than its base: the box stands steadily on a shelf with its narrow side facing out and lines up neatly in rows, which makes it handy for retail display of small goods. A one-piece blank with a single glue seam is the cheapest folding carton to manufacture — die-cutting, folding and gluing run on the line with no manual steps, and at thousands of pieces that, not the board, is what drives the unit cost. For this size we recommend a light coated board: it holds its shape on low walls, creases cleanly and does not thicken the flaps. The bottom flaps tuck in, the top closes with a tab, and the run is delivered flat.
Industries where it is used: confectioneries and bakeries, cosmetics, tea and coffee, pharma, accessories and online stores.

Questions and answers
How do I get the dieline of construction no. 221079 for my artwork?
The dieline is not published on the site: it is prepared for a specific run and board — with bleed and glue areas — and sent by a manager together with a quote. Send construction number 221079, the quantity and the material to contact@pergament.md or via Telegram — we reply within an hour during business hours.
What is the price of a box 125×80×55 mm at 300–1,000 pcs?
There is no single ‘per piece’ price for this construction — there is a run price: board, printing, finishing, die-cutting and assembly are priced per operation. The die for construction no. 221079 already exists and that line drops out of the estimate, which is most noticeable at 300–1,000 pcs. Send the quantity and material — a quote for two or three run sizes comes from a manager.
Can the size of this construction be changed?
The die is fixed: 125×80×55 mm is its inner size. A different size means a new die (plus 3–5 days and tooling cost) or a neighbouring construction from the ‘other sizes’ list. If you are unsure your product fits, order a white plotter sample — the prototype is ready in 30 minutes.
How is a tuck-end box with a glued side seam assembled?
The blank is glued along one longitudinal seam on the automatic line and shipped flat. The bottom closes by tucking in the flaps, the lid with a tuck tab. It is the most economical folding carton type for light products.
Can the box be used for confectionery and food?
Yes, with a food-grade board (GC1 or PE-coated board) and low-migration inks. This option is specified in the quote; certificates and the ANSP conclusion are provided on request.
